privacy policy

at avivly, i build the web with care, clarity, and respect for your privacy. this privacy policy explains how i handle information when you visit avivly.nl, book a call, or send me an email.

i keep it simple: i only collect what is strictly necessary to run this site, improve the experience, and work together.

1. who is behind this site?

avivly is run by aviv hidrian, based in amsterdam, the netherlands.

2. what data do i collect and why?

• contact information: if you email me or book a call via calendly, i collect your name, email address, and any info you share about your project. i use this strictly to communicate with you and prepare for our meeting.
• analytics and usage data: i use google analytics and google search console to understand how visitors find avivly.nl and which pages they read. this data is anonymized; i cannot identify you personally.
• cookies: standard small text files placed on your device to help google analytics track visits and remember if you have visited before. you can block cookies in your browser settings at any time.
• voice & audio inputs (biometric data): if you interact with my voice-enabled clinical prototypes (like pt-charlie), audio inputs are processed transiently in-memory to generate clinical text or voice synthesis. i do not store, serialize, or compile biometric blueprints of your voice; all audio data is instantly deleted once the synthesis or transcription is complete.

3. legal grounds for processing (gdpr)

under the european general data protection regulation (gdpr), the legal bases for processing your data are:

• performance of a contract: when we communicate about building a website, tool, or prototype together.
• legitimate interests: for analyzing website performance, ensuring security, and maintaining clean operations.
• consent: if you choose to reach out or opt-in to cookie usage.

4. sharing data and third parties

i do not sell, rent, or trade your data with third parties. i only share information with trusted processors required to run avivly:

• hosting provider: siteground (privacy policy).
• scheduler: calendly (privacy policy).
• analytics: google analytics & search console (privacy policy).

5. data retention and deletion

i do not store data longer than necessary for the purposes for which it was collected:

• contact and project requests: retained in my mail client and scheduler for up to 24 months after our last active project or communication, unless deletion is requested earlier.
• analytics data: anonymized visitor metrics are retained in google analytics for 14 months.
• right to erasure: you can request the immediate deletion of your communication logs at any time by emailing me at avivlyweb@gmail.com.

6. international transfers

some services i use (like google and calendly) are based in the united states. they participate in the eu-us data privacy framework or use standard contractual clauses (sccs) approved by the european commission to ensure your data remains protected.

7. your rights under gdpr

you have full control over your data. at any time, you can ask to:

• access the data i hold about you.
• rectify or update incorrect information.
• erase your data (the right to be forgotten).
• restrict or object to the processing of your data.
• request data portability.

8. cookies opt-out

you can manage or disable cookies directly in your browser settings. to opt out of google analytics tracking across all websites, you can install the google analytics opt-out browser add-on.

9. educational platforms & student privacy

as part of my work, i build and consult on educational platforms and tools (such as brightspace or university integrations). these tools do not harvest, store, or sell student records, grades, or personal academic profiles. all processing occurs locally or through encrypted secure APIs under the institution's credentials.

10. press, media, and image attributions

i respect intellectual property and copyrights. press, media assets, and generated content used on this site are attributed in accordance with ethical development guidelines and platform policies:

  • practice shift: podcast preview image generated using midjourney (privacy policy) with prompt: "lofi style music, downtempo, jazzy, instrumental beats, vinyl texture".
• typography & typography privacy: i self-host my fonts locally (inter and ibm plex mono under the sil open font license) to prevent third-party requests and protect visitor IP privacy from external CDN tracking.
